On 31 July 2015, peacefully at Radius Matua, aged 84 years.

Dearly loved husband and friend of Hirata (Celia), cherished father of the late Paul; Evelyn, Audrey and Warren, adored grandfather of Paul, Scott, Stephanie, Kelsea and Amy, and best friend of his great grandchildren Mya, Isaac and Spencer.

A service to celebrate John's life will be held at Tauranga Park, 383 Pyes Pa Rd Tauranga, on Tuesday 4 August at 11am, followed by private cremation.
