On Sunday August 2, 2015 after a short illness he courageously fought, in his 86th year.

Loved father and father in law of Sharon (deceased), Judy and Warren, Kevin and Jennifer, Lynn and Dominic. Adored Poppa of Daniel and Sarah, Neil and Sam, Haylee and Gavin, Thomas, Simon and Rangihuia, Hayden and Emma, Peter, Anton and Kara. Great Poppa (Pops) of Jaidyn, Mackenzie, Levi, Lucas, Kayla, Ashtyn, Elle, Cooper, and Karra.

A celebration of Dons life will be held in the chapel of Willetts Funeral Service, 21 King Street, Whakatane on Wednesday 5th August at 2pm, followed by private cremation.
