On Wednesday 29^th July 2015 peacefully at Golden Pond private hospital in his 95^th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Jo. Treasured father and father in law of Helen and Wayne Lovejoy (Napier), Christine and Chris Whalley (Whakatane), and Rob and Sonya (Tauranga). Loved Grandad of Erin and Dave, Sam, Josh, Scott, Celina, Andrew, and Cameron and Anika and great grandfather to Connor and Leighton. A celebration of Basil's life will be held in the Whakatane Crematorium Chapel, Ohope Road, Whakatane on Tuesday August 4, 2015 at 2pm, followed by private cremation.
