News Hound Ady & Flo www.sunlive.co.nz |
Now Flo is not really a puppy, having turned one, she's getting quite mature and has stopped chewing up things. Yeah right.
The boss was recapping on the past year of her puppyhood and reckons he's gotten off lightly, compared to some of the horror stories we've heard from other dog owning families.
I reminded him however of some of the highlights from Flo's upbringing – we'll call it Flo's Greatest Hits.
She started by chewing off the seat belt in the car. The boss said that showed a lack of restraint.
Then the attack on his cowboy line dancing boots, which was a spur of the moment thing.
Most spectacular was the chomping of the roman blind cord – that was quite a let down.
The mauling of the door knob must demonstrate a need for closure.
We both worked on Uncle's duvet – but can't disclose much more since it was an under cover operation.
Then the attack on the leather belt and zipper on the boss's hunting pants. Very below the belt and done on the fly.
There's been some damage in the backyard too, with holes in the lawn. The boss is looking into it.
In summer, someone had a gnaw on a piece of the yacht sail. That could explain the bout of wind. They said not to chew the corners but I didn't have a clew.
Stealing from the fruit bowl didn't please him either. He got the pip with that and running through cousin Oscar's horse paddock and messing up the hay was just the last straw.
Finally, chewing the end off Uncle's drumsticks. That had repercussions.
Till next time, if it ain't food, don't chew it. – Ady.
