With all the news on the T.V lately regards our bludging politicians, once again sponging off we, the poor taxpayer and low income earners, it was with some excitement, that I raced to the letters to the editor page, only to find with much disappointment, that there where not too many, that seem to care much, at the arrogance and cheek, these turkeys seem to feel they can get away with.
It amazes me that, Bill English, can stand there and say we are in a bad time of recession, while he sucks us blind re his housing dilemma, so who cares if he has got six kids and needs them to be close, he took the job on, so like any one who works for an employer, it should be up to him to pay his way if he wants to live in Wellington and sort out his own accommodation, at his own expense.
But then there are also these other bludgers, who are doing the exact same thing regards there rental properties and so we have one rort after another, and of course not forgetting, that clown Roger Douglas, and all these other big spenders in Government, having the audacity to tell us that, hey we put in the big hours, so we earned it. Big deal.
When I was in business, and worked seven days a week, up to 70 hours a week at times, there was no way I could put it on the poor taxpayer, and say hey guys, you owe me a holiday all expenses paid? My thinking is that the rules should be changed re our politicians and there time in office, as follows.
All politicians in government should immediately cease to receive there on going perks, should pay for all there expenses re travel, accommodation allowance, and all the other invincible perks that they come up with, and if booted out of Government should look to making there own way in life, instead of the present situation, where we the poor suffering tax payer seems to keep them in a standard of living they think they are entitled to.
Here is a great opportunity for our latest M.P Simon Bridges, to perhaps show the way, by way of a members bill in regards to the above? But then, ( Silly Me) he too would loose all those wonderful perks, that are a way of life for these dudes, that I thought where employed to look after us the people rather than us looking after them and feathering there nests for there future retirement. If we could get enough people, before the next election to bring in a bill re salaries, perks, etc, to cease on retirement or other wise, man, what a change in Government there would be. Oh! Well, dreams are free.
