Rangitaiki River Forum document delayed

Te Ara Whanui o Rangitāiki – Pathways of the Rangitaiki will be released on Friday, March 6.

This contradicts a public notice published in error in the Whakatane Beacon on February 18, says the Bay of Plenty Regional Council.

The Rangitaiki River.

The notice stated that the document, which aims to help relevant people identify issues and solutions around the health of the Rangitaiki River, now and in the future, would be released on February 20.

Bay of Plenty Regional Council apologises for the error and for any convenience caused to local iwi, hapu and the community.

The Council hopes to have hard copies of the document available at the Rangitaiki River Festival on March 6.

It also hopes to have copies available at council offices and libraries across the Bay of Plenty from March 6.
