Jimmy Cliff has headlined both the Womad and Raggamuffin festivals here in New Zealand and is a regular on the international festival circuit.

A spokesperson for Jacman Entertainment says these New Zealand concerts represent a truly unique opportunity to experience the legend in his own headline show.

'More great artists will be added to the line-up and will be announced in the coming weeks,” they said.

'Don't miss what will be a once-in-a-lifetime concert experience.”

Cliff's career spans over 50 years and the reggae pioneer continues to be a major influence on modern music with a slew of awards and accolades to his name.

He popularised reggae with the soundtrack to the 1972 Jamaican movie ‘The Harder They Come' in which he also starred.

Kiwi mainstream audience will perhaps better know him for songs such as 'Many Rivers to Cross”, plus covers of Cat Stevens 'Wild World” and Jonny Nash's 'I Can See Clearly Now” which was a number 1 hit in New Zealand.

Cliff's first studio album in eight years - ‘Rebirth' - was released in 2012 and eventually won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album and placed number 12 in Rolling Stone's ‘50 Best Albums of 2012'.

Bay Venues and Jacman Entertainment present Jimmy Cliff at ASB Arena on Friday, March 27, 2015.
