Bay of Plenty surfers have done the region proud by claiming their third straight National Scholastic Surfing Championship.
Along with the threepeat, the side has a firm grip on the championships shield having won the title for five of the last six years.

On the final day at Fitzroy Beach, Taranaki, the Bay side were made to work for the winning result by the host region up until the final event.
An early start was quickly halted due to the outgoing tide and adverse swell conditions.
When the event resumed after 1pm, the finalists were met by 1m waves with moderate onshore winds accompanied by rain fronts.
The Bay side had seven of their twelve surfers in the finals and were led by their senior members, with three surfers in the Under-18 Boys Division.
'Being in my last year of the Scholastics, it is pretty cool to win another title and to go three wins in a row with our team” says a victorious Jordan Griffin, who won the division.
Griffin won by way of a late flurry of waves and held off Canterbury's Harrison Whiteside, who came 0.10 points off a win on his last wave as the hooter sounded.
'I tripped up before I even got to the water, so I had a blowout before it even started,” says Griffin.
'It was difficult, really hard, really messy conditions, I was sitting on the lefts and then paddled over to the right and got those two waves at the end.”
Whiteside finished second in the final and helped his team to place third overall while Bay surfers Callum Chuter and Andrew Fraser-MacKenzie finished in third and fourth respectively.
In a final filled with three Taranaki surfers, it was on the cards that one would come out on top in the Under 16 Boys Division.
And it was Daniel Farr's day, leading the final from start to finish.
Farr posted a 14.9 point heat total in the final highlighted by a 7.57 on his last ride.
Bay surfer Jonas Tawharu broke the stronghold on placings by finishing runner-up in the final.
The result ultimately helped his team to get a vital points advantage going into the final two heats of the event.
Isaac Kettle placed third in the final ahead of the oldest of the Farr brothers, Josh, in fourth.
It was a Bay of Plenty win in the Under-16 Girls Division too, with week-long standout Raiha Ensor dominating the final. Zhana Hutchieson played her part in keeping her team second in the team points standings by taking a convincing win in the Under-14 Girls Division.
Hutchieson led for much of the final and extended her lead late with a 6.83 point ride. Bay of Plenty's Elin Tawharu threatened a comeback in the closing stages with a 6.33 taking her within striking distance of Hutchieson, but time ran out, leaving her in second place.
The Adam Clegg Award for the most improved male and female in the event was determined by peer vote. The voting was spread across a raft of surfers with Andrew Fraser-MacKenzie and Britt Kindred narrowly getting the votes.
