The 2010 NZCT AIMS Games is coming to an end for another year with the closing ceremony and prizegiving taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre at 1pm today, Friday.
More than 3870 Year 7 and 8 students participated in this year's championships across 14 sporting codes: cross country, badminton, basketball, football, golf, hockey, netball, squash, swimming, tennis, waterpolo, gym sport, multi sport and rugby sevens.
Otumoetai Intermediate Girl's Green team are happy with their bronze medal for this year's NZCT AIMS Games. In the seven years the tournament has been running Otumoetai Intermediate has never missed a medal.
Football, hockey and netball finals were held on Friday morning.
At the top of the medal table is Auckland's Glen Eden Intermediate with 31 medals, followed by Tauranga Intermediate a close second with 29 medals and Auckland's Northcross Intermediate with 27 medals.
