World War II veterans are being invited to head down to Tulloch Photography Studio in Mount Maunganui today to have their portrait taken as part of a nationwide project.
The WWII nationwide veteran's portrait project is about is about remembering those who fought for their country.
Veterans attend a previous Anzac service.
The project started on Anzac Day when NZ Institute of Professional Photography members set up studios in RSAs where they will take photographs of the veterans attending Anzac Day services.
Bay of Plenty photography coordinator Mark McKeown will be at the studio, located on Shadelands Lane, from 10am to 3pm to photograph any local veterans who have not yet been photographed for the project.
'This is not just about Anzac Day, this is about our local WWII veterans and I feel any story about these war veterans is always of interest to the local community.
'We are doing this for the people that fought and died for us.”
Mark see there will also be free coffee and muffins for the veterans and their families who bring them down.
