Broadcasting Minister Craig Foss has today announced new appointments and reappointments to the Boards of Television New Zealand Ltd (TVNZ) and Radio New Zealand Ltd (RNZ).
Julia Raue is being appointed to the Board of TVNZ commencing on 1 May 2014 for a three year term. Joan Withers and Barrie Saunders have been reappointed as directors for further terms.
Melissa Clark-Reynolds is being appointed to the Board of RNZ as a new Governor commencing on 1 May 2014 for a three year term. Chairman, Richard Griffin and Governor, Sheena Henderson, are being reappointed for further terms.
'Today's appointments will give both boards a combination of continuity of senior governance experience as well as new skills that will assist both TVNZ and RNZ to adapt to a rapidly changing broadcasting scene,” says Mr Foss.
The Minister also thanked retiring RNZ Governor, Rt Hon Paul East CNZM, for his service on the Board since 2008.

Julia Raue is an Auckland-based senior executive and technology specialist. She is the Chief Information Officer at Air New Zealand. Ms Raue was named as New Zealand Chief Information Officer of the Year in 2009.
Melissa Clark-Reynolds is a Wellington-based director and entrepreneur. She is Chief Executive Officer of Looxie, a start-up technology business. Ms Clark-Reynolds has been a director of Creative HQ, which founded Lightning Lab, New Zealand's first technology accelerator, and ACCURO, a health insurance company.
