The bright lights of cruiseliner Queen Victoria lit up the early morning harbour today as the elegant ship made her maiden voyage to Tauranga.
The 90,049 tonne ship berthed at the Port of Tauranga about 6.30am and is scheduled to head to Auckland at about 5.45pm.

The Queen Victoria boasts seven restaurants, 13 bars, three swimming pools, a ballroom, and a theatre.
Curnard Shipping says Queen Victoria is known for her 'elegance and graceful splendour” with modern facilities in a traditional setting of luxurious marbles, woods and rich fabrics.
The Sun Princess is also docked at the POT today. She is due to leave port at 6pm.
Mount Mainstreet are hosting the last picnic of the season tonight at Pilot Bay to farewell the duo of cruise ships.
