The Beachfront Festival bringing festivities to the seaside Papamoa Beach community is going ahead today following yesterday's postponement.

Starting at 9am, the festival is a collaboration between well-known Little Big Markets and Papamoa Beach Top 10 Holiday Park and is open to the public.

Set up around one of the resort's popular attractions – parents can sit back and enjoy live music in the Chill Out Zone manned by Tauranga More FM radio presenters Bel and Brendon while children can play in the giant jumping pillows and other fun activities.

Waterslides, fun bikes to hire, face painting, food and of course the Little Big Markets are also available.

Papamoa Beach Top 10 Holiday Resort marketing assistant Frances Rameka says the festival is going brilliantly.

"The weather is gorgeous and the crowds of families are having fun."

The event was scheduled for Saturday but was postponed to Sunday.
