Wither Hills fine wines are crafted from vines that flourish in free draining, silty alluvial loams over deep stony river deposits in the heart of the central Wairau Valley.

The vineyards are bordered to the south by the landmark range of the Wither Hills. This 2009 Chardonnay definitely has that distinctive Marlborough trait, filled with concentrated ripe grapefruit, nectarine and citrus fruit flavours matured in French oak barriques.
It would work well served with a chicken terrine, or a lovely winter creamy vegetable soup. Priced at around the $16 mark it represents great value. Enjoy!
