The beachside settlement of Maketu is preparing to host the Bay of Plenty's original seafood festival, the Maketu Kaimoana Festival, on Saturday, February 27.
The event is organised by Maketu Rotary and food, especially seafood, will once more be the biggest draw card with culinary delights coming from around the Bay and further afield.

There will also be plenty of music on the day.
