The Mills Reef 2007 Reserve Cabernet Merlot is an excellent food wine and consists of 80 per cent cabernet and 20 per cent merlot from the Hawke's Bay.

2007 was an exceptional year; this wine has a lovely savoury complexity, an elegant style with good length and chalky tannins; deep red in colour with blackberry and boysenberry aromas and hints of herbs and liquorice. Well worth popping a few bottles in the cellar for a few years.
