Two men, who handed themselves into Whakatane Police Station, are facing fines for riding motorbikes with no helmets.
The men walked into the station after police circulated photos of them riding their bikes at the riverside in Whakatane with no helmets during the carols by candle light concert last night.

Response manager Sergeant Yvonne Parker says the two men have provided police with their details.
'We will be following up with suitable traffic infringement notices for them this week.”
In New Zealand, people can face a $55 fine for riding their bike without a helmet.
