A concrete truck and car have crashed in Putaruru today, trapping two people.
The crash happened about 2.35pm on Taupo Street in the South Waikato town.
Police report one person is critically injured and has been taken to Waikato Hospital.
Emergency services are on site where the road is fully closed with diversions in place.
Serious Crash Unit are in attendance.

I am sorry to hear that someone has been critically injured. But I am sick of hearing about truck smashes. Trucks have the potential to injure badly and should take much greater care on the road.

Its always the trucks fault, cars never tail gate, perform stupid passing moves, fail to indicate or speed yeah right...most stupid comment I've read for a very long time surfwatch

Im a motorcyclist and will always respect the trucks on the road, unlike cars who have tried to run me off the road too many times to count. They dont give way and make dumb choices when passing as they too impatient
