John Key seems to me to be selling New Zealand to the USA. The TPP treaty, which he is currently negotiating, will give greater powers for the US global companies to over-rule NZ Government decisions. The GCSB bill will give the USA greater access to information about all New Zealanders.
He has also tied the NZ military into the US system, much more than it was previously. Of course this suits his agenda, as I guess that when he eventually leaves office as Prime Minister, he will probably retire to Hawaii, with his increased fortune.
