Police dog agility and skill at chasing and catching people wanted by police will be on display at Tauranga SPCA's Pet and Family Fun day today.
The dog display at 1pm will be a highlight at the free event at Historic Village from 10am to 2pm.
A police display involving the Tauranga Police dog team and the Armed Offenders' Squad will be one of the main attractions at the Tauranga SPCA's Pet and Family Fun day.
Tauranga Police dog section supervisor Paul Selby says the police dog team will give a short display in conjunction with the Armed Offenders' Squad.
Tauranga SPCA fundraising and marketing manager Dorothy Forbes says people are welcome to come along with their dogs on leads.
She says there will also be lots of stalls and dog demonstrations along with a dog walk on the board walk next beside the Historic Village.
'There will be goody bags for those on the walk.
'It is also the Historic Village market day so all their shops will be open with an 'animal” theme which works well with our Animal Fun day.”
