I have a gripe about the lack of signage on the roundabout at SH2 and Domain Rd in Papamoa that would reduce noise from truck exhaust brakes during the hours of darkness. So far I have raised this with the NZ transport agency four times over the past nine months. To date they have appeared to have done exactly nothing about it.
I estimate that everyone who lives within a kilometre of this roundabout is affected by truck noise at night and all it needs is some signs north and south to reduce this noise. Maybe no one from the agency lives near here or they just plainly can't be bothered to do something about it. Perhaps we can stir them into action before they all hibernate for winter.
