Teen admits to robbery

One of the three men accused of robbing a Katikati dairy and Waihi service station has admitted to one of the robberies.

Jeremiah Reti from Mangakino pleaded guilty to one of two counts of aggravated robbery in Tauranga District Court yesterday.

CCTV footage of the robbery at Katikati's Park Road Dairy.

The charges stem from the armed robberies of the Mobil Service Station on Waihi and the Park Road Dairy in Katikati, which were both robbed within half an hour of each other on June 18 last year.

Reti, who was aged 17 at the time of the offending, and his co-accused George Rapatini were excused from appearing in Tauranga District Court.
Rapatini is on standard bail until a callover date on May 10.

The third man accused of the robberies is currently serving a six year sentence in jail.

Rastaman Angus Rapatini was convicted of the charges after he pleaded guilty during an earlier court appearance.

Parents obviously did a bad job in bringing up this teen bloke. Charge the parents and make them pay for not teaching their kids the difference between right and wrong.
