International flavour to Bay cricket camps

The highly popular Ben Williams Cricket Coaching camps will have an international flavour this season. Two Dutch rising stars, who are playing with the Te Puke Cricket Club, will be part of the Williams coaching team this summer.
Ben Williams has become one of the cornerstone players of the Bay of Plenty representative cricket team, having played over 40 games for the Bay.

He has just returned from his second season in Holland where he is player/coach at the VOS club. Such is his cricket coaching abilities that Ben is now an integral coaching component of the Dutch National Youth side.
Ben established Ben Williams Cricket Coaching five years ago to enhance the delivery of cricket coaching in the Bay of Plenty. In association with Bay of Plenty Cricket Ben is again delivering a wide range of junior cricket coaching programmes this season.
The Dutch connection comes from an exchange programme that has been set up between the Te Puke Cricket Club, and the VOS club. Martijn Snoep and Dirk van Baren have come to New Zealand for the summer to continue their journeys along the cricket pathways.
Twenty year old Martijn has played in the Dutch Youth team and last season made his senior debut for Holland in a four day match with Ireland. Dirk, who is still in his teens, is absolutely passionate about the game of cricket and debuted for the VOS first team this season.
The Ben Williams holiday cricket-coaching programme is structured to cater for different age groups with each group having a specific programme suited to the skill levels of the participants. The Western Bay based programme is centred at Te Puke Cricket Club.
The first Ben Williams Cricket camp, will be held January 25-7 for Year 5 and 6 school players, followed by a Year 7/8/9 camp January 27-29.
