On Wednesday the 16th of September 2026, tragically as the result of a motor vehicle accident, Mike (aged 41yrs) and his son Phoenix (aged 8 years) passed away together.  Mike is the much-loved son of Beverley and Brent, & Murray and Cheryl.   Treasured dad of Phoenix and Miles; and best brother of Jason, Simon, Scott, and James.

Phoenix is the adored son of Trudy Wagstaff, and brother of Kade.

A service will be held at the Baypark Arena, 81 Truman Lane, Mount Maunganui on Friday the 25th of September at 1pm, followed by private cremation.   For those wishing to pay their respects to Mike and Phoenix, there will be visitation between 1-4pm on Thursday the 24th of September in Elliotts Chapel on Cameron, 414 Cameron Road, Tauranga (entry on 8th Avenue).   Livestreaming details for the service can be found under Upcoming Funerals at www.elliottsfunerals.co.nz.
