On 25 August 2026 at Waipuna Hospice Mel passed away with Brenda by his side. Age 68 years. He is now present, fully healed and at rest with Jesus his Lord and Saviour. Beloved husband of Brenda, much cherished father and father-in-law of Jonathan and Nina, and Joanna. Mel lived a life of passion and service. A service to celebrate Mel’s life will be held at Mt Maunganui Baptist Church, 66 Ranch Road (Cnr Tui St & Ranch Road) on Monday the 31st of August at 1pm. In lieu of flowers a donation to either St John’s Ambulance or Waipuna Hospice would be much appreciated. Their dedication, care and support was incredible.
