More than 300 properties are affected by a Powerco outage in Tauranga’s CBD.

An outage map shows the affected area is around and within Wharf St, The Strand, Durham St and Elizabeth St.

The map said theunplanned outage began at 8.23am and affected 303 properties.

Field crew were on their way, and power was expected to be restored by 12.30pm.
