Passed away suddenly but peacefully at Tauranga Hospital after a very short illness, on Monday the 19th January 2026; aged 63 years.

Very much loved dad to Jordyn, Meckenzie, and the late Brydey;  Poppa to Pickle, and best friend of Rose.

Peter is the loving big brother of Lee Gilchrist, and the late Bryan Marris, and loved brother-in-law of Bryan's wife Brenda Marris.

"No-one is finally dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away".

A celebration of Peter's life will be held in Elliotts Chapel on Cameron,

414 Cameron Road, Tauranga

on Tuesday the 27th of January 2026, at 1:30pm, followed by a private cremation.
