31 May 1943 – 17 October 2025. With great love and a touch of laughter, we farewell our beloved Charles Rodney Wheeler — husband to Beryl, father to Nathan, Joshua, Reuben and Amos, grandfather, great-grandfather, and loyal companion to his cherished dog, Manu — who’s likely still waiting for his next walk. Charlie (Roddy, Old boy) lived a full and colourful life — one packed with adventure, kindness, good humour, and stories that only grow funnier in the retelling. He was surrounded by his family when he peacefully slipped towards the rainbow bridge, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, mischief, and love. A private farewell was held this week. We now invite all who knew and loved Charlie to come together on 23 November (venue to be confirmed) to raise a glass and celebrate a remarkable man — full of wit, humour, and heart — a life well lived, and a man deeply loved.
