With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Maria Karin Armstrong, on August 8, 2025.

An angel on earth, Maria was a beacon of light and kindness to all who knew her. Her generous heart and loving spirit touched countless lives, and she will be remembered for her unwavering compassion, cheeky laugh, and endless warmth.

Maria was a devoted wife to Steve, a cherished mum to Irina and Alex, a treasured daughter-in-law to Trevor & Glenis, a wonderful sister-in-law to Sheryll & Jimmy, Derek & Carilyn, a wonderful aunty to Kayne & Marc, a great aunty to Io & Atlas and a loyal friend to many.

She was loved by everyone including all her family and friends in Sweden. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled.

A celebration of Maria’s life will be held at Steven & Maria’s home on August 16, 2025, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Auckland City Hospital, Ward 78 or Waipuna Hospice in her honour.
