It is with great sadness that Doug passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday 19th of July. He is finally with his much beloved late wife “Bub” Elaine Doris Haigh. Much cherished Dad to Julie, Peter and Shelley. Father-in-law to Mark, Robyn and Brian. Loved “Poppa” to Joshua and Jaime, Samson and Chloe, Anika and Andrew, Bethany and Nick, Max, Tessa and Kevin, Reane and Ryan, and Casey. And “Great Poppa” to Heath, Erika, Kaiya-Fae, Makenna, Emmett and Clay.
The family would like to invite everyone to a celebration of Doug’s life to be held at Papamoa Sands Village Centre (61 Golden Sands Drive) at 2pm on Wednesday 23rd July 2025.
