A 73-year-old bulldozer driver who suffered a head injury, cuts and bruises when his machine went over a bank is in a stable condition in Tauranga Hospital.
The man was driving the bulldozer at the Tauranga Quarry on Wednesday when it went over a bank just after 1pm.
A bulldozer went over a bank at the Tauranga Quarry.
It is thought the bank gave way and the machine rolled over.
The driver managed to free himself and walk some distance for help.
J Swap Contractors staff drove him up to Kaitemako Road where they were met by St John Ambulance paramedics and taken to Tauranga Hospital.
