Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines for Omokoroa No1 School's nineth annual Original Ride On Mower race Day today.
Omokoroa No1 School in Plummers Point is gearing up for the national championship series final race this afternoon.
Race-goers will be treated to an action packed event with a wide range of entertainment including the Waimarino horizontal bungee and Oceania Helicopter rides.
Race day organiser Bronwyn Carter says there is something for everyone including an outstanding racing car display featuring the 700hp Santa Sleigh from Baypark, a Corvette Stingray and a 2012 Boss Mustang.
The race day also offers traditional gala stalls such as a Farmers Market, toys and cafe food.
Gates open from 10am to 3pm. Entry is free.
