One lucky Lotto winner is $410,000 richer after hitting the Bullseye in the jackpot ‘Must Be Won Draw' overnight.

The winning ticket was sold at Allen United Video and Lotto Te Puke but the prize is yet to be claimed.

Store manager Murray Allen says the store has sold winning tickets before although this was the largest amount won from a Bullseye ticket.

'The shops most probably sold seven first division winners in Lotto so yeah it's done alright. This is the first major prize we have sold for a little while now and it's good.”

The winner has not yet been into the store to claim their winnings, although Murray says Bullseye is not largely televised, so the lucky person may not have checked their tickets yet.

'Bullseye isn't televised as such, and I am only symbolising this, so people are most probably walking around with it in their back pocket somewhere.”

Murray has his fingers crossed the ticket is in the possession of a lucky local.

'They could have been passing through town - I hope not, I hope it's a local because Te Puke's been hurting lately you know with the PSA and that.

'Fingers crossed if it's a local, but if it's not good luck to them.”

NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive Wayne Pickup says thanks to the ‘Must Be Won' rule the lucky winner increased their prize from $10,000 to $400,000.

The rule complies if first division is not won then the prize is added to the next highest division where a winner must be found.

'This prize will have come just at the right time for this winner – with Christmas just around the corner, they will be able to treat themselves quite a bit more this year,” says Wayne.

'Anyone who bought their ticket from this store should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any NZ Lotteries' outlet or online at MyLotto."

There was no first division winner in last night's draw so the jackpot rolled down to second division with only one winner yet to claim their prize.

Bullseye is a daily jackpotting game where players are given a chance to win a daily prize of up to $100,000.

Players simply select a six-digit number between zero and 999,999. If the number chosen exactly matches the winning number, they have hit the Bullseye.

The jackpot can reach a maximum of $400,000 before a ‘Must Be Won' draw is called.
