Today marks the final day to view ARTWaikino's 12th art exhibition, the largest art exhibition on the Coromandel Peninsula showcasing artists' work in a range of mediums and styles.

This year ARTWaikino is commemorating the centenary of the Waihi miners' strike with a special category dedicated to the event.

Today is the last chance to view the exhibition, which has been open this Labour Weekend.

Artists have submitted a piece of work in any medium depicting the historical miners' strike.

Guest exhibitors for this year's exhibition include Val Tubman, Loesja de Bree, Judith Haszard and Helen Wilson and Waikino School pupils will also be showcasing their artistic skills with a colourful display in the foyer of the hall.

The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm today and entry fee is a gold coin donation. Proceeds are going towards the upkeep of the hall.
