Players in the newly established Mauao Volleyball Club display plenty of talent and confidence on the court, but they will be out of their comfort zones as models in their upcoming fashion parade.

The Mauao Volleyball Fashion Fix and auction fundraiser will take place on Friday, October 26 at The Club Mount Maunganui at 7.30pm.

Stacked with regional and national representatives from both indoor and beach volleyball, the Mauao Volleyball Club has been playing in various zone leagues and achieving success along the way.

With plans to attend both national and international tournaments in the future, the club has organised next week's event to raise some much-needed funds.

The club has been amazed by the generosity and support from local businesses, sporting groups and skilled volunteers in preparation for the event.

Club sponsor Moko Clothing's summer styles will be on display during the fashion show, with designer Totaea Rendell exhibiting his clothing.

Wallis Clothing owner and designer Anna Mountford will bring a female touch to the evening, showcasing her summer range alongside other New Zealand designs stocked at Wallis.

Some of the items to be auctioned on the night include a painting from internationally acclaimed local artist Mr. G, harbour cruises, sporting memorabilia, a fashion style evening, artwork, jewellery, gym memberships and fitness products.
