State Highway 2 is reopen following a slip between Ōpōtiki and Awakeri.

According to a Waka Kotahi spokesperson, the slip was located between the Waiotahe Beach area, west of Ōpōtiki, between Paerata Ridge Road and Waiotahe Valley Back Road.

The slip first closed the road yesterday at 3.05pm, but has since been cleared.
