State Highway 1, south of Taupo, is blocked following a crash.

A police spokesperson says police are responding to a one vehicle crash on State highway 1, near Waitapu Road.

"The crash was reported around 6:30am.

"One person received minor injuries.

"One lane is closed with stop/ go being put in place, motorists are advised to expect delays."
