If you don't have a will yet, or you’ve had some big life changes and not updated your will, now’s the time, say the organisers of a presentation to be held at Tauranga Library.
Lyon O’Neale Arnold’s Library Law Series will be going through the importance of having a will and how to go writing a will.
"A Will lets you say how you want your property dealt with when you die.
"Once you die, everything you own, and everything you owe, is called your estate."
Anyone of sound mind who is at least 18 years old can make a will.
Your will also appoints guardians, lists your beneficiaries and sets out your last wishes, as well as dictates what happens to your estate.
This presentation at the library informs you about making a will and how your estate is administered.
Held at He Puna Manawa – Tauranga City Library on Wednesday, September 6, from 5.30pm, this presentation is free to attend.

Make a Will

In many cases a will is useless. A relative or other person will contest it, the court will overturn the will and your last wishes ignored. Get rid of that happening and a will makes more sense. It's my last wishes, nobody else's. An inheritance is a bonus, not a right.
