Fire and Emergency services are at the scene of a house fire on Twentyfirst Avenue, Gate Pa.

According to Fire and Emergency northern shift manager Ryan Geen, no one was located at the property.

"We received multiple calls for a house on fire at 6.49pm. We responded with three fire crews at 6.56pm to a well involved house.

"Because it was a well involved house fire they did transmit a second alarm to bring in a further two fire crews and support vehicles to assist."

"It was a single level private dwelling. The fire was located at the rear of the dwelling.

"Crews carried out a search but no one was located, and fought the fire from the inside and outside of the building."

"Crews are currently dampening out the fire, and the bulk of the fire is out."
