Armageddon Expo, the largest and most anticipated pop culture event in New Zealand, is heading to Tauranga in 2023 as #BAYOFGEDDON.

The organisers say with celebrity guests, cosplay competitions, K-Pop performances, and more, this event is set to be a thrilling experience for pop culture enthusiasts of all ages.

This expo opens the doors of Baypark Arena on March 25 and 26.

The Armageddon Expo has been the go-to destination for fans of movies, TV shows, comics, anime, and gaming and so much more. The event brings together fans, industry professionals, and celebrities from around the world, providing an opportunity to meet and interact with some of the biggest names in entertainment.

"More than anything, Armageddon is proud of the community we have built over the years through all of these," says Armageddon Expo Director Willian Geradts.

"The 2023 event in Tauranga promises to be even bigger and better than ever before, with a lineup of guests and activities that are sure to excite and delight fans of all interests."

One of the biggest draws of Armageddon Expo has always been the celebrity guests, and this year is no exception.

Fans can look forward to meeting the likes of Jamie Campbell Bower, who has starred in popular series such as Stranger Things, the Twilight Saga, and Harry Potter.

Also in attendance will be Amie Donald, renowned for her standout performance in M3GAN, and Brian Beacock, known for his voice acting work on Digimon Tamers and Bleach. With autograph sessions, photo opportunities, and Q&A panels, fans will have the chance to connect with their idols like never before.

Willian says this year we will be seeing more in person guests than ever before.

"With Tauranga being the first Expo of the year, we wanted to make sure that our community knew we were bringing in big talent.

'Wherever we are in the country, we bring our signature brand of pop culture magic. It's an experience like no other for all things geek. A big part of that is being able to meet your favorite actors and seeing them live," says Willian.

Another highlight of Armageddon Expo this year is the cosplay scene, which celebrates 20 years of incredible hard work, competitions and their stunning competitors.

The Cosplay Competition promises to be an incredible showcase of creativity and talent. Whether you're a seasoned cosplayer or just a fan of amazing costumes, you won't want to miss this. The event also offers a range of workshops and panels to help you improve your cosplay skills, from prop-making to sewing and everything in between.

In addition to celebrity guests and cosplay, #BAYOFGEDDON has plenty to offer K-Pop fans. With some of the hottest K-Pop acts set to take the stage, fans can expect an electrifying atmosphere and unforgettable performances.

"Dancers and crews from across New Zealand will be joining us for thefFirst time at Armageddon," says Willian.

"But that's not all - Armageddon has something for everyone. With an exhibitor hall packed with the latest merchandise from your favorite franchises, there's no shortage of shopping opportunities. You'll also find a range of workshops, panels, and activities focused on everything from gaming to comics to anime.
