Preparations are well underway for the Port of Tauranga 60th National Jazz Festival.
From April 1 to April 10, a variety of jazz events will showcase some of the best jazz musicians in Australasia.
There's something for everyone, from world-class jazz concerts at the Baycourt Community and Arts Centre, the three-day 45th National Youth Jazz Competition, our very own Jazz Cafe & VIP Bar, the family favourite TECT Jazz Village, the two-day Downtown Carnival jazz party, Jazz at the Mount on Easter Monday, a sunset jazz cruise, and a swinging Big Band Tea Dance.

Unforgettable – The Nat King Cole Story, April 1 to April 5
A modern window into the life, times and music of the musical legend Nat King Cole.

Wright Family Foundation 45th National Youth Jazz Competition, April 4 to April 6 from 9am to 5pm
Showcasing the very best emerging jazz players from secondary schools from all
over New Zealand at Baycourt Community & Arts Centre, Addison and X Space theatres.

Superstar Jam at Wharf Street, April 4 and April 5 from 5pm
Join the National Youth Jazz Competition students for a fantastic fun-filled jam at Wharf Street. Relax to live music plus great food from the eateries. The Superstar Jam Stage Wharf Street is a free event.

TECT Jazz Village, April 7 from 11am to 5.30pm
Our very own New Orleans French Quarter!
An absolute crowd pleaser, the TECT Jazz Village, set in the unique Historic Village on 17th Ave delivers entertainment for everyone in true New Orleans style.
