Sense and Second-Degree Murder by Tirzah Price, and reviewed by Angela, Katikati Library and Service Centre

"This is a clever retelling of the Jane Austen classic with a murder mystery twist! It's a young adult book but adults would enjoy it too," says Angela.

"The familiar characters are given new personality traits and put into different circumstances but remain strongly based on the originals. Well written, witty, and suspenseful, it keeps you guessing until the very end! "

"Jenny Pattrick has an amazing ability to bring history alive by drawing us into the lives of her characters," says Sue.

"Harbouring describes the lives of a family of poor Welsh settlers and a young Māori woman at the time of Colonel Wakefield and the New Zealand Company's 1840s settlement of Wellington. It's enjoyable and eye-opening."
