Tracking the rainmakers between now and Christmas

Philip Duncan says things are likely to improve next week.

What is the forecast for Christmas Day and how much rain is going to fall between now and then?

This is the question on many people's minds at the moment.

WeatherWatch's head forecaster Philip Duncan share the latest forecast for Christmas Day, and then weather leading up to it.

He also takes a look at the lows and highs bringing the changeable weather over the coming several days - with the south east of Australia looking most unsettled over the coming weeks - but compared to spring the rainfall totals aren't as intense for most.

The bulk of NZ's wet weather looks to be between today and Monday next week, then it's likely improving, he says.
