Tropicana Sunday is taking over the hydrotherapy pool at Greerton Aquatic & Leisure Centre this afternoon with pina coladas, Hawaiian leis and palm trees set to delight swimmers and visitors.

From 12pm - 3pm, Sunday November 13 it is party time, just one of 10 days of fun events that are organised for this week

Over the past nine months there has been a lot of progress made to refurbish the much-loved Greerton Aquatic & Leisure Centre.

On November 10 the new reception doors opened for the first time, kicking off 10 days of events, activities and prizes to celebrate.

With the ribbon-cutting ceremony done, Thursday evening was a time to start strong with an epic pool party, complete with inflatables, tunes and a DJ.

The bay's biggest water fight on Saturday afternoon November 12 was touted as 'the water fight to end all water fights' with the first 100 kids through the doors between 12 pm and 2 pm receiving a free water pistol.

This afternoon from 12pm - 3pm, Sunday November 13 is party time with Tropicana Sunday taking over the hydrotherapy pool with pina coladas, Hawaiian leis and palm trees.

On Monday November 14 and Thursday November 17, from 10am - 12pm, it's splash time for parents and babies aged between three months and four years.

"We're putting on Spash Time - an amazing opportunity for one-on-one aqua play-time with your little one," says a centre spokesperson.

If you're looking for after school entertainment for the kids, look no further than the two Inflatable fun sessions planned for 3 - 4.30pm on both Tuesday November 15 and Friday November 18

To have a go at winning a prize, the public is welcome to "Spin to Win" between 7.30am and 12pm on Wednesday November 16.

"Everyone who enters our doors between the hours of 7.30 am and 12 pm on the 16th - gets to take a crack at our spinning wheel of epic prizes," says a centre spokesperson.

A free sausage sizzle is being planned for Saturday November 19 from 12pm - 2pm.

"To bring our celebrations to a close, we're treating everyone to a free sausage sizzle!"
