It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Raewyn Gay Ihaka. Dearly beloved wife of Albert (Puhirake) Ihaka, loving mother of Russel, Mike, Lianne, Mandy, Emily and dearest nanny of her many grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is the Māreikura, the Pou Tokomanawa of her ever-growing family and will be greatly missed by all, close and far. After 81 years, she has continued on the final path of her journey above and was surrounded by the love of her whanau the day she passed, Tuesday 24^th May. Her funeral will be held entirely at her home, 468 Matapihi Road, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga. All are welcome to share their time with her and her family in bidding farewell on Thursday 26^th May, between 10am – 4pm. The final service will be held on Friday 27^th May at 11am, thereafter she will be taken to the Pyes Pa Crematorium at 3pm, where we will lay her to rest.
