Police have arrested three people in relation to the death of 33-year-old Joshua Terrey.

Josh was found deceased in a garden at the Western Community Centre in Nawton, Hamilton on December 1 2019.

A Hamilton woman, 24, a Hamilton man, 60, and a Waihi woman, 45, have all been charged with Kidnapping and Injuring with Intent.

They will appear in the Hamilton District Court on April 12.

In October 2021 Police investigating the unexplained death of the Hamilton dad released CCTV footage with the aim of generating new leads.

The footage showed a light-coloured sedan, with a horizontal trim running across the doors and a sunroof. At the time Police said that the car was seen at the community centre in the early hours of December 1 and they believe the occupants may have been able to assist with their investigation, titled Operation Holyoke.

Following the arrest of the three people, Police wish to thank the community and the victim’s family for their support which has enabled Police to hold these people to account several years on from Josh’s death.
