A man is facing a number of charges after fleeing from police overnight.
A police spokesperson says a driver failed to stop for police just before 1am in the Hairini area.
'He turned into a driveway on Stephens Place and then fled on foot.
'He was located and taken into custody a short time later.”
The 37-year-old man is now facing a number of charges, including failing to stop.
He is due to appear in Tauranga District Court today.
