As New Zealand rebuilds from the impacts from Covid-19, people are being encouraged to look at study options.
Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology is hosting open evenings on all campuses to give prospective students and their whānau an exclusive look at study options and campus life.
Toi Ohomai events and engagement manager Megan Wheeler says anyone considering their study options should head along.
'If you're undecided about your study options, or would like more information about what Toi Ohomai has to offer, the open evenings are a great way to familiarise yourself with the campus, the tutors, and most importantly – an insight into what career path you could head in.
'Our experienced tutors and student support facilitators will be able to answer any questions you may have and you can even get help enrolling while you're here.”
Options for fees free study are available with many courses covered under the Government's Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund.
This fund is open to anyone, regardless of age or previous qualifications, who intends to study a targeted course or apprenticeship between July 1, 2020, and December 31, 2022.
It's designed to increase the number of skilled workers in sectors that are expected to grow in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
TTAF courses are available across the primary sector and also in the conservation, construction, health and community support, education, manufacturing, electrical engineering, information technology, and road transport.
For more information about TTAF and other study options, check out an open evening at a campus near you.
