Blame shifters

Welcome to the daily smoke blowing and blame shifting. Today, we learn that Case B hadn't been tested since November, despite the fortnightly requirement. Apparently all that is required is to say you have been and that the result was negative. Easy peasy. According to the PM this is a matter for the employer and they should be checking. Err, hello PM - it is for the Government and MoH to make sure FFS!! That is YOUR job. Unbelievable. Is it the same with pre-departure testing? You just rock up and say you had one and it was all good? It probably has been, hence all the recent cases. This lot really have no clue what they are doing but they excel at shifting responsibility and bluffing.

I am starting to share your skepticism about the current administration, even though I try to remain "apolitical" (until election day :-)) I do think employers have a responsibility, but I agree with you that there should be government checks to ensure the requirements are being met. It is difficult for ANY Government, but we certainly should be doing better than we are.
