Police have made an arrest after finding two seriously injured people at a Waihi Beach property.

"Reports of an assault at the Bowentown​ property came in not long before 9am on Sunday," says Detective Sergeant Terri Wilson.

One seriously injured person was flown to Middlemore Hospital, the other went to Waikato Hospital by ambulance.

One person has been arrested, but formal charges have not been filed and police declined to give any more details on the arrested person.

'A scene examination is continuing and police is not seeking anyone else in relation to the matter," says Wilson.
